WELCOME to all Juniors and Children
We hope you enjoy your tennis and ask you to observe these few rules:
- Chewing gum is forbidden on court. It is a
very serious offence
- Wear tennis shoes at all times, Suitable footwear
is important for your safety when playing Laces must be tied
- Wear suitable Clothes , no overlong slacks or Jeans,
(Clothes must NOT drag on ground)
- Bring rain gear to competitions and club events as weather changes
- Treat other players and the club facilities with respect
- Doubles always have preference except when singles competitions are on
- Juniors must yield the courts to
- senior players after 7.30 pm
- all matches in scheduled competitions
- limit your play to 30 minutes if others are waiting
- or better still introduce yourself and invite them to join
in or take turns on court
Please do not
- Cycle Bikes on the courts, (tears us the surface)
- Lean on or Swing out of the nets (ruins the tension of the nets and the
poles)
- Jump the nets (highly dangerous, it hurts to fall on tarmac)
- Chew chewing gum on court (it sticks and can be dangerous to other
players)
- Do not interfere with other peoples belongings
- Litter the courts and club premises USE THE BINS
These rules are meant to help you and others enjoy playing tennis in safety
PARENTS & ADULT Members
- Please help ensure the safety of your own children
at all times
- The Rathangan
Tennis Courts are unsupervised, except during organised events. Even at these
times the voluntary organisers require you to ensure your own child's safety.
This is a voluntary organisation and as such is reliant on the help of members
and parents of members. We ask for your continued cooperation.
- Parents are responsible for ensuring
their children's safety while travelling to and from club events.
- We recommend that you arrange for the
collection of your children after events.
