JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP

It costs only         €15 for a child to join. (less than 13)

or                   €30 for a teenager (13 or over 1/1/2008)

Payment should be made to the club treasurer Mrs Catherine Hacket, Main street, Rathangan, payment should be accompanied by a completed membership form, download from the membership section. In the case of children the application must be signed by a parent

In 2008 we are planning to hold a series of children's competitions every few weeks throughout the summer holidays culminating in a few championship days in the autumn.  The whole schedule was kindly sponsored in 2007 by the Rathangan CORE group. 

Children can also avail of coaching and further opportunities to play at other venues in external competition such as the Laois League.  Please see special children's section Laois League.

In 2007 we hosted the Kit Kat summer camp for two weeks and The Rathangan Boys and Girl's teams took first and second place in the competition in North Kildare, Brining home a shield and a whole host of trophies. 

The Laois League Club competitions for teen and preteens and the family fun events for Parents and Children which were very Kindly sponsored by the Rathangan Credit Union (see our sponsors web site at cu@rathangan.info ).  Over 100 children took part in the various events run from Easter to late November, but mainly concentrated around the summer holidays and the many trophies, medals and prizes were shared widely thanks to our two main sponsors.

The Rathangan CORE group is a community wide development group which encompasses the Tidy Towns and the Lughnasa festival committees and is involved in all aspects of the development of the town.  It is involved in a wide range of initiatives such as amenity developments Killinthomas Wood and Tannery park, The redevelopment of the town centre, the Christmas Lights and the Children's Christmas party. see www.rathangan.info

The group welcomes all who attend its bi-monthly meetings usually held in the old school house 4th Wednesday of the odd month.
